The 2-1 Seahawks head back on the road for Monday night’s Week 4 matchup against the New York Giants. Here are six things to know ahead of the 21st All-Time matchup between the two franchises.
Saquon Barkley: Day-To-Day

Sixth-year Giants running back Saquon Barkley’s battle with a high-ankle issue sidelined him for New York’s Week 3 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers and early practices this week. Coach Brian Daboll discussed the matter Tuesday, as the team plans to use the week to evaluate Barkley’s status.
“We’re doing kind of a jog-through,” said Daboll. “So don’t think he’ll do much [Tuesday],” coach Brian Daboll said. “But he’s really now in the day-to-day category.”
The Penn State alum looks to return to his 2022 status, where he rushed for 1,312 yards and 10 touchdowns, his third 1,000-yard season.
Daniel Jones: Changing the Narrative
Daniel Jones has been under pressure on 46.7% of his dropbacks.
The highest rate in the league.
The Giants have allowed 27 pressures in under two seconds.
Nearly twice as many as the second-worst team.@PFF

Quarterback Daniel Jones, who helped lead the Giants to the playoffs last season, will look to get on track after a rocky start to the 2023 season for the 1-2 Giants. The Duke alum enters Monday’s matchup as the fourth-most sacked (12) quarterback across the league, throwing more interceptions (4) than touchdowns (2) through three games. While Jones may be struggling through the air, the dual-threat quarterback is currently second on the team in rushing (107 yards and a touchdown). Seattle will look to prevent Jones from having a bounce-back game.
Jalin Hyatt: Rookie on the Rise
Breaking down how the speed of Jalin Hyatt & gravitational pull of Darren Waller leads to big plays.

In April, New York selected Tennessee wideout Jalin Hyatt in the third round of the 2023 draft. After a strong preseason showing, Hyatt truly got his chance to shine in the Giants’ Week 2 31-28 win over the Arizona Cardinals, catching two passes for 89 yards. Seattle will look to prevent the first-year deep threat from taking the top off the defense as he searches for his first-career touchdown.
Darren Waller: Getting into a Groove
Darren Waller had 6 catches for 76 yards yesterday. Used a lot in RPO game.

In March, the Giants secured tight end Darren Waller via trade with the Las Vegas Raiders. Through three games, Waller leads New York in receptions (12) and receiving yards (132), but is yet to reach the endzone. As Seattle looks to improve its pass defense, keeping the 31-year-old from having a big game will be a priority.
Andrew Thomas: QB Protector Day-to-Day

Injuries have riddled the Giants through the early portion of the season, with the offensive line taking a major hit. Tackle Andrew Thomas is “Day-to-Day” per Coach Brian Daboll, as he battles through an ankle injury that forced him to miss New York’s last two contests. On Tuesday following practice, Daboll discussed the team letting the week play out before making a decision for gameday.
“He’s really now,” said Daboll. “I’d say, in the day-to-day category. Feels a lot better today, but we’ll kind of take that all the way throughout the week and see how he improves.”
Micah McFadden: Stuffed

Giants’ second-year linebacker Micah McFadden currently leads the defense in combined tackles (26) along with tackles for loss (5). The Giants acquired linebacker Isaiah Simmons in August via trade with the Arizona Cardinals, putting McFadden’s role in question, but the Indiana alum will look to again make an impact Monday, as he continues to fight to hold onto his starting position.
